CHAIR - Dave is General Manager of the Delta Optimist. He has been a member of the Delta business community since 1989. In that time the Optimist has gone from a community newspaper to a full multi-media company providing a variety of digital products as well. Active in the community, Dave is currently fund raising chair of the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen and is a charter member and past president. He also sits on the board at Beach Grove Golf Club as vice-president. Dave was a founding director of the Business Improvement Association of Tsawwassen and served on the board in various capacities for many years. A Tsawwassen resident, Dave has one son, Kirk, and enjoys golf, curling and slo-pitch.
1ST VICE CHAIR - Les runs Voros Financial, a financial services practice. Les has overseen the multi-million dollar operations of a national organization. With responsibilities focused on client relations, operations, and employee support, his skills are diversified making him flexible in understanding financial planning needs. Married for more than 20 years, Les has two children, and enjoys spending time on the water, on the slopes and exploring new places.
2ND VICE PRESIDENT - Yvonne is CEO of Santevia Water Systems Inc and utilized her education and business experience to create a niche business in the water purification sector. She has been actively involved in Delta: in her church, as a volunteer soccer coach and school committee member, and as mentor for women going through transition. Yvonne is a wife, mom and an athlete, who enjoys half marathons, sprint triathlons, kayaking and yoga peppered with family ski trips, hiking and snow shoeing.
TREASURER - Manpreet works for CAPTIN Toyota, an automobile parts manufacturer located on Progress Way in Tilbury Industrial Park in Delta, BC. Manpreet works as a Specialist in Cost and Financial Reporting. Previously, she was a Senior Financial Analyst with the Provincial Health Services Authority and a Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant for JJM Construction Ltd in Delta, BC. She has also worked in the accounting field for other companies such as Phoenix Glass Inc. of Delta, Active Doors etc. Manpreet received the Certified Management Accountant of British Columbia award in June 2012 and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance.
IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIR - Orville is President of O.N.E. Corporation, a strategic planning, business planning and risk management business based in Delta. Orv has built his business around more than 25 years in law enforcement with the R.C.M.P. primarily focused on white collar crime. He also spent significant time in adult education related to law enforcement particulars of corporate cime, ethics and public speaking. He has a BA from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from Queens University. Orv loves to golf, ski and teach martial arts.
DIRECTOR - Sia is an experienced and progressive Human Resources professional with hands on HR experience in 4 multinational companies. Sia completed his Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Simon Fraser University in 2005. Sia is currently employed with Taseko Mines Limited as the Manager of Human Resources. Long time Delta residents, Sia and his wife Maria are also the owners of the Primerose Mediterranean Restaurant in Tilbury/Ladner. Sia also currently volunteers with Free the Children, Canadian Cancer Society, Children’s Wish Foundation and the Human Resources Management Association as a mentor.
DIRECTOR - John is Program Head of the International Business Management Program in the BC Institue of Technology's School of Business. A long-time Delta resident, John is the former owner, manager and President of Wexxar Packaging Machinery. John currently has a small consulting practice focussed on improving productivity and profitability for manufacturing businesses. John received his MBA from Queen’s University in 2004. In the past, John served on the board of the Delta Police Foundation and the Delta Youth Orchestra.
DIRECTOR - Melissa is Corporate Planning and Communications Manager with Delta Police. Melissa was involved with the development and implementation of the Department's strategic plan, social media strategy and corporate rebranding. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; a Diploma in Technology in Broadcast and Media Communications; a Masters in Business Administration in Public Relations and Communications Management; and is a member of the Rotary Club of Ladner.
DIRECTOR - Kelly is President of KWG Enterprises. She has been Trustee, Vice Chair and Chair of the Delta Board of Education; Director, Vice President and President of the Ladner Business Association; and President of the Tsawwassen Business Association. Kelly was a Director of the Delta Earthwise Society; Past Member of the BC School Trustees Association; Director of the Delta Community Foundation; Director of the Delta Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission; and member of the Rotary Club of Ladner. She recently completed a Master of Arts in Leadership program at Royal Roads University.
DIRECTOR - Rick is co-founder and President of Neutron Factory Works, an award winning industrial contracting company based in Delta BC. Starting out in industry as a JM Red Seal Electrician over 25 years ago, Rick gained extensive experience working in all types of manufacturing and processing facilities, from the production floor to the boardroom. Today, Rick stays active in both the industry and the community he serves, his board appointments and committee involvement include Director - The BC Food Processors Association, Chair - ITA’s Manufacturing Sector Advisory Group, Vice Chair – BC Safety Charter, Partner/Volunteer - Quest Food Exchange, Director – Earth Renu Energy Corp.
DIRECTOR - Barry is Co-Founder and Marketing Manager at 505-Junk. Since start up in June 2011, Hartman, business partner Scott Foran and their staff, have focused on reducing waste. To date, the company has diverted over 1,000,000 pounds of waste through a variety of recycling practices. 505-Junk was recently named a Top 5 Finalist for Small Business BC’s Successful You Awards in the “Best Community Impact” category. A former professional snowboarder, Barry travelled extensively throughout North and South America.
DIRECTOR - Beau has been with RBC Royal Bank since 1997, engaged in both the commercial banking and capital markets side of financial services. Beau currently leads the Commercial banking business for RBC in the South Vancouver/Richmond/Delta markets. Beau is a member of various associations; Director of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Association - BC Division; past Board member/Treasurer of the South Delta Minor Hockey Association, and past Coach. Beau completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria. In addition, Beau completed his Master of Business Administration at Royal Roads University. Beau lives in Tsawwassen with his wife and two teenage children.
DIRECTOR - Hugh is a fourth generation Delta farmer. He and his wife, Terry, brother, Stanley, own and, with friends and family, operate Reynelda Farms, growing vegetable crops on Westham Island. He was appointed to the Board as a representative of the Delta Farmers’ Institute, of which he is also a Director. He is a Director of the Delta Agricultural Society and a Commissioner on the BC Vegetable Marketing Commission. Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of British Columbia.
DIRECTOR - Ryan is the Managing Founding Partner of Pacific Chartered Advisors LLP in Delta, BC. Ryan’s academic background includes the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Program, Society of Trust and Estate Planners, CA School of Business, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. Ryan has spent over 14 years within the finance and accounting industry. Outside of the office Ryan currently writes accounting and tax articles for three magazine publications, and holds director positions with The Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation and the Young Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
DIRECTOR - Lorna distributes unique lines of wellness and anti-aging products. Her company also provides communications and marketing plans, websites, social media marketing, blogging and advertising for the small business owner. She is admittedly Brian's 'Right Hand Woman' in their renovation company 'Reno-Man', which means she does all the nasty office work. Lorna has a big passion for non-profit and also worked as a non-profit Executive Director in Whistler, was President at the Squamish Food Bank Board, a Director at Helping Hands and was recently a Director on the Board of the Squamish Chamber of Commerce.

Communication and Outreach
