Your opinion on Employment Insurance Premium Reduction?

Join businesses across Canada in giving your opinion on the EI Premium Reduction Program.

An employer who provides their employees with a short-term disability plan (also known as a wage-loss replacement plan) that meets certain requirements, may be entitled to a reduced Employment Insurance (EI) premium rate.

EI premiums are paid by employers and employees at a ratio of 7/12 and 5/12 respectively of the total EI premium payable. The EI Premium Reduction Program offers savings to both the employer and the employees using these same ratios.

The EI Commissioner for Employers is conducting a short survey of chamber members across Canada through our Canadian Chamber of Commerce to see if they are taking part in the program and if not, what are the barriers to participation? Please give your opinion through Friday July 6 at: http://bit.ly/KPZCQa. The Canadian Chamber will report on the survey to the EI Commissioner after that closing date.
