Website and e-commerce “new and improved”

With apologies for inconvenience over this past quarter, the Delta Chamber staff team is pleased to announce improved website and e-commerce services.

Thanks to Century Group, Delta Container and Westshore Terminals as sponsors, we developed a new website over two years ago. It improved our member and business community communications considerably.

Thanks to PathMarketing as service provider and sponsor we have developed some improvements to build on that original base.

After months of development and training by our small staff, here are some of the benefits you can experience using the website and e-commerce system:
•    “quick registration” system for members when registering for events – the system remembers who you are and autofills the registration template;
•    one payment for many – using the previous system each person registering for an event had to be entered, with payment made, separately;
•    invoicing for registering individuals or groups, by full table for instance, can be arranged online as well;
•    renewing your annual membership fees online;
•    accessing your member record for making changes to your own company’s contact information is easier than ever, with a “forgot password” feature;
•    e-news posted as it happens then summarized once a week or so;
•    more use of video and visuals in web communications;
•    two search engines, one for the business directory of members and the other for the website.

Coming soon:
•    event registration by groups, but with each person charged separately;
•    lower cost “early bird” event registration fees;
•    blogs on business issues linked to other social media;
•    revised website home page and overall look and feel.

What you will not see, but what will benefit you as a member:
•    greater staff productivity with an improved, streamlined e-commerce system;
•    easier to use, more flexible website system which all staff can access to improve and maintain.

To make the new web-based system work for you please take a moment to do the following one time only:
1.    go to the website, Member Resources section, and click on “Become a Member”;
2.    click on “Member Login” top right;
3.    in the “Forgot Your Password” section enter your email to retrieve a new password;
4.    use the new password to log in as a member and make changes to your record as required;
5.    this link will take you to the website page to do all that: http://tinyurl.com/y4ljdqb

Thank you all for your patience during this period of website “renovation” and our apologies for any inconvenience caused during that time. Please give us feedback as we continue to develop so we can improve our service to you. Thank you.
